Vascular Closure for Large Devices: Paving the Road for Percutaneous Valves and Future Devices
As procedures evolve from traditional surgical approaches to endovascular therapy, the understanding of large vessel closure becomes a paramount educational requirement for the cardiovascular interventionalist. This symposium will introduce access management for large sheaths (18F-26F) for Percutaneous Valve therapy, Thoracic Endografts and Abdominal Endografts. The latest updates on the fields of Aortic and Mitral valve percutaneous procedures including technique, outcome, FDA obstacles and the future innovation in this field will be discussed.
Allied Health Professional Symposium
This session is comprised of didactic lectures, expert panels, and discussion encouraging audience participation. The latest issues and developments in vascular disease diagnosis and treatment will be presented. All Allied Vascular Professionals should consider attending.
Fellows Endovascular Case Competetion
As VIVA continues its support of fellows' education, we will again host a special case competition. VIVA will provide free tuition to fellows wishing to attend, however fellows are required to submit an interesting vascular case for presentation. Categories for case presentations include: Complex Procedures, Complication Management, Advanced & Novel Techniques and New Technology. The top cases will be presented as a part of this dynamic, interactive educational event preceding the main meeting.
