VIVA POST-DOCTORAL VASCULAR FELLOWSHIPS: EL CAMINO HOSPITAL, MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA
VIVA Physicians, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, is proud to announce the
inaugural VIVA Vascular Fellowship Program. This groundbreaking multi-disciplinary
one-year program has been generously subsidized by the El Camino Hospital Foundation
and the Heart & Vascular Institute of El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA
where the fellowships will be hosted.
The program is currently seeking applicants for four individual fellowship
positions beginning in July 2008. The post-graduate fellows selected will include
one interventional cardiologist, one interventional radiologist, one vascular surgeon,
and one cardiothoracic surgeon. Interested physicians may apply on-line and finalists
will receive an invitation to interview in April.
The curriculum for the VIVA Vascular Fellowship Program offers an unrivaled educational
opportunity. Fellows will have the opportunity to expand their talent in their chosen
field by working side by side with experts in each field. In addition, each will
undergo cross-training and extensive endovascular experience in all areas of intervention
ranging from acute stroke and carotid intervention, to complex aneurysm repair,
to renal and mesenteric intervention, to all aspects of lower extremity intervention
including limb salvage. Participants will be exposed to all clinical and imaging
aspects of caring for patients with cardiac and vascular disease, and will actively
participate in a robust research program. Finally, fellows will be encouraged to
explore entrepreneurial interests and opportunities through structured exposure
to the Fogarty Institute for Innovation, which resides on campus.
Interested applicants are encouraged to proceed in a timely manner as interest in
these positions has thus far been quite high.
Online registration for the Fellowship Program is now open
